Living in Romania has provided me with the opportunity to document the remains of the former communist regime, with its many abandoned factories and gray, rectangular architecture. These are places where time stood still.
Sometimes I use Google Earth, which allows me to discover places from an aerial view, as a prelude for my visit there.
My wife, Zirka, is always beside me in my travels, and is an important part of my process of photography. She shares her advice and vision with me. I enjoy mixing family with photography because they are both parts of my soul.
